Method for measuring the biologically usable energy in soil comprising the steps of placing a soil sample into a container, incubating the sample and measuring the oxygen consumption. The biologically usable energy is then calculated from the amount of consumed oxygen under the assumption that all the oxygen reacts with hydrogen only.
It is an object of the present invention to provide a method for determining the comprehensive nutritional energy-biological value of a consuming product, such as an arable crop. The existing state of the technology
It is well known that soil as an ecosystem has a symbiotic relationship with the plant ecosystem. In order for these two ecosystems to live and prosper in an efficient manner, they must convert solar energy into biologically usable energy efficiently and, at the same time, recycle the carriers of this energy considered to be nutrients of the organisms living in these ecosystems. Such biologically usable energy is transferred in the soil ecosystem from one organism to another by means of the energy flow known as the soil ecosystem food chain. The existing soil ecosystem treatment agrotechnology for growing arable crops has been treating this ecosystem only by means of mechanical crumbling of the matter in order to create the seedbed of the crop seeds. While doing this, the content of biologically usable energy in such seedbed, necessary for the required root rhizosphere to be created with regard to the flow of biologically usable enenergy from the plant photosystem in to the soil ecosystem, and after its accumulation gradually back as far as the reproductive organs of plant organism, creating the energy production of arable crops is NOT monitored or measured.
The essence of the technical solution
The above-mentioned drawbacks to the existing state of the technology are, to a large extent, removed by the manner of measuring the content of biologically usable energy in soil, in a fertilizer or in the plant matter by means of respiratory equipment. This serves to establish biologically usable energy of soil in MJ/M2 by means of the respiration of a measured soil sample amounting to 100 gram on an area of 0.015 M2 from the measured value of the weight quantity of the respirated oxygen at the constant vegetation temperature of 25 celsius degrees for the period energy amounting to 120 MJ/kg with oxygen as the release agent of this energy in the ration of 1:8 forming the H2O compound according to valid combining relationship 1 Kg H + 8 Kg O = 9 Kg H2O + 120 MJ.
